Ian Somerhalder’s Friend Arrested for Illicit Stash of Pictures

Ian Somerhalder, a steely-eyed actor, finally found fame after years of getting small roles with LOST the vampiric television show The Vampire Diaries. The sexy, scary series ran from 2009 to 2017.

While Ian is ready to start something new, the indiscretions of someone close to him could destroy it all.

Ian seemed to have a close relationship with Travis and Jessica Lowery who owned and operated Vampire Stalkers and Mystic Falls Tours. The couple gave tours of Lockwood Mansion in Atlanta. They have since changed the tour to Hollywood of the South.

They billed their vampire tours as, "We are highly recommended personally by the cast members even getting shout-outs on twitter from none other than Ian Somerhalder himself!"

A Bad Man

Travis was not the best company to keep though. In April 1991 he was arrested for money crimes. According to the courts, "[Travis] with intent to defraud, did knowingly possess a certain writing, a check, drawn on the account of [victim] at Founders Guaranty Bank of McDonough, Georgia, payable to the order of Travis Lowery, in the amount of $110.00, in such a manner that the writing as made purports to have been made by another person."

He was also charged with burglary and weapons possession in October 1991. But the worst of his treachery was yet to come...

Travis was arrested back in 2009 for some more terrible crimes. According to the Newton County Sheriff’s Office Travis was arrested for computer pornography and sexual exploitation of children.

The courts stated, "[Travis] knowingly possessed and controlled material: a video stored on his computer as, 'Acer Electronic f**ks his 2 teen daughters – preteen kiddy kiddie incest rape porn sex,' which depicts a minor and a portion of a minor’s body engaged in sexually explicit conduct."

Another count of misconduct came from a video entitled, "Uncle undresses and rapes 12-year-old niece for preteen and quality porn."

Light Sentence

Despite his disgusting crime, Travis was sentenced to only 20 years probation, the first two years of which are to be served in confinement. Travis was ordered to pay $1,000 in fines and had to register as a sex offender.

Ian and Travis's wife Jessica have worked to distance themselves from Travis, but he was still listed as a business owner for the tour group up until at least 2015.

Being a Dad

This news is coming to light just as Ian is about to be a dad; his wife Nikki Reed is pregnant. He said in a touching tribute on Instagram:

"To our friends, family, and rest of the world. In my 38 years on this earth I've never experienced anything more powerful and beautiful than this. I can't think of anything more exciting than this next chapter and we wanted you to hear this from us first."
