Can Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder be anymore cloyingly sweet and disgustingly adorable?

The engaged couple spent their Thursday night amongst friend watching Somerhalder’s directorial debut on The Vampire Diaries. After the worldwide trending episode had aired, Reed penned an open letter to her fiancé, gushing about how proud she is of his big accomplishment.

She wrote:

@iansomerhalder you blow me away. I am beyond inspired by the person you are, but mostly I am humbled by your work ethic and desire to always push for the best in yourself and others. With distinct style and an unwavering vision you directed something you should be truly proud of. Congratulations to you!!!!!!! All of your hard work paid off. Your talent has trickled into every facet of your life, and this is only the beginning…

But that’s not the only sweet thing Reed has done for her man!

Just two months ago, the former Twilight actress baked a cake for her boyfriend celebrating his first day on the set as a director. Adorned with chocolate chips and heart-shaped strawberries, the sweet treat from Reed wished her future husband success with his new gig.

Reed and Somerhalder, 26, made their relationship public when they were spotted packing on PDA at a local farmers’ market. Since then, the twosome have adopted a horse named Eagle and rescued a kitten together.

In the past, Somerhalder had dated The Vampire Diaries co-star Nina Dobrev for two years.

Reed was previously married to American Idol alum Paul McDonald. Their divorce was finalized this January.
